According to the president of the national Unioncamere, Andrea Prete, it emerged that as many as 47% of the profiles requested by companies were nowhere to be found in July, out of an expected total of 587,000 hires. This worrying data highlights a significant discrepancy between the skills required by companies and those present in the labor market.
In particular, the problem seems to be even more serious for specialized profiles, such as those belonging to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) degrees. In this case, 67% of the required figures are untraceable, underlining an even greater shortage of highly qualified talent.
The misalignment between training processes and the real needs of companies is a crucial issue that requires an urgent solution. It is essential to fill this gap to ensure sustainable economic growth and to provide young people with concrete job opportunities.
